Dot Best Vestal.....
"One thing I remember is when the disc jockey (I think his name was Bob Dodson) was at one of the drive-ins on South Glenstone behind Fisher's Hi-Boy. We could call in and request songs and have them played for someone else. That radio program helped me with my shorthand. If I was home, I wrote all the words to the songs in shorthand. Turned in a lot of homework and got credit for it. Ha.
An excerpt from an email I received from Sandra Clayton Ohler
......................"Do you recall when they used to raid the local teenage hang-outs (Muellers, Red Barn, etc.) and the newspaper placed a black line across the eyes of the people? (Sunday morning papers were very interesting because you could tell usually identify most of the people.) That was one of the memories that hadnt been mentioned and also has anyone mentioned the can-cans and hoop skirts we girls wore?"...............
